Ashley and the star cast received rave reviews! Tom Kitt said the production was “beautiful and riveting… performed by a powerhouse cast.” Check out a couple other highlights:

Education & Recognition

Ashley graduated early from Harvard University with a bachelor's degree in Sociology, a minor in Theater, Dance, and Media, and a certificate in Spanish. While at school, she continued working professionally at the American Repertory Theater (in 5 different mainstage equity shows, including two world premieres), the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center, Lincoln Center, and in readings & workshops in NYC. Ashley was the first student to be cast in several A.R.T. productions as an undergrad, working with Tony Award winning directors Diane Paulus and Sergio Trujillo. She also starred in two short films in Boston, one of which was directed by Paulus. Ashley received the 2019 Harvard Arts Award for Excellence in Musical Theater and was a finalist for multiple other awards at Harvard. She was also nominated for Best Actress in a Musical in Boston by Broadway World for her performance in Violet (on a Moving Bus) directed by Sammi Cannold. Ashley is a member of Actor's Equity Association.

Making History with the Hasty Pudding

Ashley was one of the first six women, and the first ever black woman, to be cast in Hasty Pudding Theatricals. Hasty Pudding is the third oldest theater group in the world and is renowned for its original comedy musicals. For nearly 200 years, it produced shows featuring all male casts. In 2019, Ashley made history starring as Princess Theresa in their original production "France, France Revolution." Her role was a parody of the classic damsel in distress. Ashley sang the show's 11 o'clock number "Head Over Heels" every night to nearly sold out audiences in Boston, New York City, and Bermuda during the 40 show run. In 2019, Hasty Pudding honored actors Bryce Dallas Howard, Milo Ventimiglia, and Marc Anthony. The cast roasted these actors live as part of the show. Moreover, every show ended with a 15-minute long dance number. Ashley was honored to be part of this historic moment for women in theater.
